Mokolwane
Mokolwane is an intimate camp of just seven elevated tents, set in a private concession in the southwest corner of the Okavango Delta. As the only camp in this largely unexplored area, Mokolwane offers families an authentic Botswana safari experience, with incredible predator sightings often enjoyed in complete privacy.
Experience morning and evening game drives through the open grasslands and fertile floodplains of the Matsebi River system. This is prime leopard territory, boasting the third-highest concentration of these elusive predators in Africa, alongside lions, wild dogs, and cheetahs that hunt the large herds of zebra and wildebeest. Recently, the BBC’s Big Cats 24/7 filmed the impressive Xudum pride here, one of the largest ever seen in the Delta.
In the wetter Emerald season, families can enjoy mokoro safaris, spotting a variety of arriving migratory birds. And those looking for a truly unique experience can opt for a thrilling scenic helicopter flight over the Okavango Delta. After a packed day of adventure, return to your tented suite and relax on the shaded deck, watching elephants as they feed on the palm nuts and figs hanging from the trees above you.
