Busanga Plains Camp
A seasonal bush camp located deep in the renowned Kafue National Park, Busanga Plains Camp is an adventurous addition to a luxury family safari itinerary in Zambia.
Families can choose a scenic all-day game drive to reach this remote bush camp or, for a more luxurious safari experience, fly in on a private air charter with panoramic views of the papyrus-lined reed beds and lily-covered lagoons of the plains.
Designed as an authentic seasonal safari camp, Busanga Plains Camp is rustic yet comfortable and offers families a true home away from home. The raised boma overlooks the sprawling plains and the huge ‘One Fig’ tree and features a large infinity pool, open campfire and treetop game-viewing platforms, the perfect spot to unwind between game drives. Busanga Plains has just four luxurious airy tents offering an exclusive safari experience of this hidden Zambian gem.
At Busanga Plains Camp, families can embark on daily game drives that showcase the breathtaking openness of the plains, with chances to spot predators stalking herds of antelope. The area is home to rare species like roan antelope, servals, and Lichtenstein’s hartebeest, as well as lions, buffalo, and elephants.
For a more intimate experience, guided walking safaris provide an opportunity to get closer to unique wildlife like lechwe and even flying snakes, while witnessing stunning sunrises over the plains.
