Mark’s Camp in Lalibela Game Reserve is an ideal destination for families seeking an immersive safari experience.
Accommodating up to 26 guests, including 18 adults and 8 children, the camp features stone-and-thatch chalets decorated in a welcoming Pan-African style. These chalets include en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, and private viewing decks, where guests can enjoy the abundant birdlife or spot giraffes and elephants visiting the nearby waterhole.
The lodge’s family-friendly layout includes three family suites that sleep up to four, and one larger family suite that can accommodate up to six guests. Children are especially well catered for, with a dedicated program offering arts, crafts, bush skills, and nature walks.
At Mark’s Camp game drives are a family experience with children aged two and older invited to join both day and night drives. Exploring this area’s unique savannah grassland biome, which is able to sustain truly vast herds of plains game like zebra, impala and eland, families have a good chance of witnessing prides of lions hunting.
Mark’s Camp also offers plenty of relaxation between drives, with two swimming pools, an outdoor dining boma for fireside meals and a comfortable lounge perfect for unwinding after a long day of activities.
