Ongava Lodge is a premier destination for family safaris in Namibia. Located on one of the country’s most important private game reserves, it offers a unique experience that combines luxury and adventure.
The lodge is perched on a ridge with seemingly endless views across the plains, offering a relaxing retreat in the African bush. The air-conditioned brick, rock, and thatch chalets each have en-suite facilities and private viewing decks, ensuring a comfortable stay for families.
Gather at the main thatched dining area and enjoy a drink at the bar while watching wildlife, including rare and endangered species, congregate and interact at the floodlit waterhole.
The lodge has 14 twin-bedded en-suite rock chalets with double basins, plus indoor and outdoor showers. Thirteen chalets have two three-quarter beds, while one family chalet consists of two bedrooms, each with two three-quarter beds and their own bathroom and entrance.
Ongava Lodge offers a range of activities on-site such as bird watching, game drives and nature walks. The camp’s hide is the perfect place to wile away the hours whilst spotting the desert-adapted wildlife.
