Singita Pamushana Lodge
An elegant lodge perched on a sandstone ridge overlooking the Malilangwe Dam
Pamushana Lodge
Perched on a sandstone ridge above a shimmering lake, Singita Pamushana Lodge is a one-of-a-kind retreat in the remote Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve.
Emerging from a shaded hilltop forest, the main lodge’s design takes inspiration from the local Shangaan people, whose presence here spans millennia. Interlinked wooden platforms create stylish, secluded spaces among acacia and baobab trees, while the dining deck, cliff-top bar, and infinity pool offer breathtaking views of the Malilangwe Dam and rolling green hills below.
The eight thatched suites echo this thoughtful design, featuring private plunge pools, cosy lounges, and indoor/outdoor ensuites. Two- and three-bedroom suites provide a luxurious haven for families, blending local stonework and textiles with contemporary comfort.
Singita offers exclusive access to the Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve, a region that remains virtually untouched by humankind. Daily game drives reveal the dense population of black and white rhinos, while sunset cruises on Malilangwe Dam bring close encounters with hippos and vibrant birdlife, like malachite kingfishers, and offer a chance for a spot of game fishing. Visits to the Shangaan village add a cultural dimension, with hands-on lessons in traditional skills like fire-making and beadwork.
After a day of adventure, unwind with a massage, enjoy a sommelier-led wine tasting, or stargaze under an unpolluted night sky, making every moment at Pamushana Lodge unforgettable.
