Day 1 - 4 Day 5 - 8
The largest island in the Seychelles archipelago, Mahé is home to the capital Victoria and the broadest selection of accommodation for a luxury family holiday.
Lush forests fill the interior, whilst sparkling white beaches ring the island’s shores. Many of which can only be reached by scenic hikes through protected forest. Off-shore, the reefs are home to an abundance of colourful marine life.
Some of our favourite resorts for families are found on Mahé and the selection of beautiful resorts is unmatched in the Seychelles.
Day 1 - 4 Day 5 - 8The island is home to some of Seychelles most iconic beaches and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The middle child of the inner islands, Praslin is the second largest island in the Seychelles archipelago. Originally named Isle de Palmes, it was renamed Praslin in the mid-18th century after the French duc de Praslin.
Today, Praslin is one of the most popular islands in the Seychelles for a luxury family holiday. It boasts some of the most desirable resorts and beaches, as well as the stunning Vallée de Mai nature reserve.

Day 1 - 4 Day 5 - 8
The Seychelles offers a wealth of family-friendly resorts and Constance Ephelia is our go-to on Mahé. We have stayed here ourselves as a family, and we can’t fault it.
While it suits families with young children very well, it’s equally suitable for older children too. There is so much to choose from activity-wise that there is something to please everyone.
Days can be spent enjoying the beaches and watersports available. Or, you can simply soak up the sun in one of the many impossibly beautiful spots in the resort. Foodies can enjoy deliciously varied meals in one of the many restaurants.
We thoroughly enjoyed the local dishes on offer in the main restaurant, and be warned – breakfast is an enormous buffet-style feast! You will certainly not go hungry while staying here.
Day 1 - 4 Day 5 - 8If as a family you need options on holiday for keeping busy, and also for some thorough relaxation, look no further than Constance Lemuria.
This expansive and stylish resort has something for everyone, and then some. The location is very beautiful, with some of the Seychelles‘ most picturesque beaches (and that’s saying something!) on the doorstep. Not to mention glorious tropical grounds and sea views for miles.
There are varied options for accommodation, from Junior Suites to a Presidential villa. The water lovers in the family will be delighted with all the water-based sports on offer. In addition, those in the family who need meal options will welcome the choice of eateries at this lovely resort.
If you’d like to venture further afield and explore Praslin, or indeed some of the other islands, this is very easy to do.
The UNESCO World Heritage site of the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve is in the centre of Praslin Island, and in our opinion is a must-see for those staying nearby.

Day 1 - 4 Day 5 - 8
Mahé offers families a wonderful mix of beach relaxation and cultural exploration.
Start with a visit to Beau Vallon’s lively weekly food market, where kids can sample local treats and experience the island’s vibrant community atmosphere.
Then, head to Victoria, ‘the world’s smallest capital,’ for a family-friendly tour of colonial-era buildings and historical plantations. Children will enjoy learning about the Seychelles’ rich heritage while wandering through this quaint town, making it an unforgettable day of cultural discovery for all ages.
Day 1 - 4 Day 5 - 8Praslin offers incredible snorkeling and diving spots that families will love.
Head to the northern beaches, especially Anse Lazio, where rocky areas on either end are bustling with colorful fish.
For an unforgettable experience, take a boat trip to nearby St Pierre Island, where snorkelers have a chance to spot turtles, rays, and even reef sharks in the clear waters. With its rich marine life and scenic underwater views, Praslin promises memorable ocean adventures for all ages.
