Anabezi Luxury Tented Camp

Anabezi Luxury Tented Camp is one of the most remote destinations in the Lower Zambezi National Park. Tucked away in the park’s eastern corner and on a tranquil stretch of the Zambezi River, the camp is sure to attract families wanting to venture off the beaten track. 

The camp is built on an elevated boardwalk which connects the luxurious tented suites to two spacious main areas, each boasting their own swimming pools and dining areas. The iconic Winterthorn forest surrounding the camp often attracts elephants, buffalo, antelope – and even the occasional lion or leopard – ensuring optimal Big Five game-viewing from the comfort of your own suite. 

Eleven luxury tents each have their own lounge areas, indoor/outdoor bathrooms and plunge pools with expansive views of the nearby Zambezi River. Families can opt for the two-bedroom tented suite which is perfect for keeping an eye on little ones. 

Guests can venture out on game drives both day and night to spot the area’s large populations of leopards as well as their resident pack of the painted dog who hunt in the local area.

Afternoon boat cruises or canoeing trips are an excellent opportunity to see some of the regions’ 400 species of birds and Nile crocodiles, especially during the dry season when they migrate to the main river for new territory. And whether you’re a keen angler or a complete beginner, catching your first Tiger Fish in the Zambezi River is a memorable moment for all visitors.
