Changa Safari Camp

Changa Safari Camp provides thoughtful family-friendly design and top-notch service on a secluded spot on the shores of Lake Kariba. 

The camp’s luxury tents, crafted from classic olive canvas, all have a home away from home feel and have views stretching out to Matusadona’s iconic mountains—a striking backdrop for an immersive safari. The two sets of interconnecting family suites allow children to move freely between their tent and their parents’ in complete safety and privacy.  

The camp’s location offers a range of wildlife adventures ideal for all ages. Boating excursions on Lake Kariba bring families close to hippos, crocodiles, and the over 350 species of birds found here, while guided walking safaris and game drives reveal elephants, lions, and more in the surrounding Matusadona National Park. The open-air lounge area, with its plush seating, mosaic tiles, and thatch roof, serves as a cosy retreat for families to relax, while the lakeside pool and recently added spa create spaces for a cooling afternoon dip and some tranquil downtime.

Evening dinners are a highlight, served al fresco on the main deck or by the water, providing families with memorable shared experiences beneath Zimbabwe’s starlit skies.
