andBeyond Bateleur Camp

andBeyond Bateleur Camp is a small, luxurious property, situated on the same private concession as its sister property, andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp.

Situated on the edge of the Mara Triangle, nestled between the Mara river and the Oloololo escarpment, this part of the Masai Mara offers exceptional, year-round game viewing. As well as exploring the main reserve, guests are able to explore the small private concession, which allows for nature walks, night drives and bush dinners. 

The proximity to the hot-air balloon launch site is beneficial for those wanting to head to the skies, and even if not, the balloons can often be seen from bed as the sun starts to rise over the balanites-dotted plains. A magical way to start the day.

Accommodation is provided in luxury tented suites, stylishly refurbished in 2018, with many nods to the golden age of safari past. The camp has also added an adjoining family suite, complete with private lounge area.

The property is run by andBeyond, luxury safari experts, who have been in this part of the Mara for over 20 years. The focus is on phenomenal experiences, delighting guests, and world-class guiding, all of which are delivered consistently. 

Tess and Mike were staying here when they got engaged and the team not only managed to help pull off the perfect proposal, they even arranged a surprise bush dinner, Maasai blessing and hot-air balloon trip with champagne breakfast. Truly spoiled!
