Khwai Leadwood
Tucked under the trees on the edge of the Khwai River in the Khwai Concession
Khwai Leadwood
Khwai Leadwood is a luxury camp offering an intimate and exclusive safari experience on the edge of the Khwai River. As all that separates the Moremi Game Reserve and the community-run Khwai Concession, the river is a hot-bed of activity with hippos wallowing and regular elephant crossings.
Seven elegant rooms tastefully combine modern touches with traditional crafts, including locally woven baskets and beaded decorations. And the specially-designed family tent features a conjoined bathroom and private veranda, ideal for families wanting an adventure in comfort.
No activity is more synonymous with the Okavango Delta than a mokoro trip and at Khwai Leadwood you can enjoy seasonal tours on the historic Khwai river. The camp also offers game drives throughout the local concession, with walking safaris a particular favourite in the drier months from May to October.
Committed to community empowerment and conservation, guests can also take the opportunity to visit the local villages to witness how they live in harmony with the natural environment. And children can take part in the Ngwana Club where they can take part in nature walks, cooking classes and arts and crafts.
