Vundu Camp

Vundu Camp is a charming, understated tented camp set in an exclusive-use concession within Mana Pools National Park.

Owned by husband and wife team Nick and Desiree Murray—who bring over 30 years of combined guiding expertise—Vundu Camp is renowned for its exceptional guided experiences. Walking safaris with Nick, an expert on wild dogs who consulted for the BBC Dynasties series, are a standout highlight. With more than 70% of the park traversable on foot, Mana Pools is one of Zimbabwe’s premier locations for walking safaris.

Guests also have the option to enjoy game drives to spot four of the Big Five, as well as a rich array of wildlife including spotted hyenas, hippos, and crocodiles. Canoeing along the serene river offers a unique vantage point for game viewing, and a sundowner cruise on the camp’s pontoon boat makes for a memorable close to the day.

Back at camp, the elevated lounge and dining area is an inviting spot for starlit dinners, giving guests a front-row seat to the Zambezi’s nocturnal wildlife. The eight spacious tented suites each feature a private seating area with river views, lounge spaces, and ensuite bathrooms, with a family suite offering two interconnected tents and a large shared terrace.
