Zambezi Grande is a luxurious family-owned camp specialising in bespoke safari experiences in the nearby hidden gem of the Lower Zambezi National Park.
The intimate camp feels like a home away from home. The main lodge features a large dining room flanked with chairs, a sun-drenched pool area and safari curiosities scattered on hardwood surfaces to add to its charm.
The suites and luxury rooms are no exception, combining contemporary design with a truly authentic African feel. The large free-standing suites offer a tranquil retreat with exclusive views of the Zambezi. Guests can even enjoy spa treatments and massages in the privacy of their own verandah between the many activities on offer.
The neighbouring Lower Zambezi National Park beckons with 4,092 square kilometres of rich birdlife, indigenous flora and untamed wildlife. Families can embark on open-vehicle game drives to spot four out of the Big Five and the park’s large populations of wild dogs, or opt for a more leisurely river safari.
The region is a haven for bird enthusiasts and anglers alike with over 400 species of birds and a reputation for strong Tiger Fish populations. Families will particularly enjoy visiting the Muguramano Cultural Village where little ones can enjoy the culture and gain insights into Zambian daily life and traditions.
